Just wanted to show off a house that is in the latest issue of 25 Beautiful Homes, August 2016. It is a style of home that really appeals to me: the owner, Linda, has boldly ‘gone pale’; creams, whites, greys are layered with linen and stoney textures…
The results are subtle, pleasing and restful. Linda has not compromised, she has not added ‘punchy accent colours’, she has simply committed to a look and not wavered, a quality I really admire in an interior.
She has selected and placed beautiful artworks around her home. The furniture is largely antiques that Linda has up cycled. She learnt the process from a local designer Jo MacFarlane, Jo makes scented candles and exceptional pieces of carefully selected hand painted Antique furniture.
The house is located right on the harbour of an extremely pretty fishing village on the East Neuk of Fife – idyllic.
Bring it on!
How beautiful. It’s so bright and fresh – she’s done such a lovely job. Thanks for sharing, Alison 🙂
