Feeling very proud of a stunning feature in the latest Real Homes magazine, about artist Heather Nevay. Her home, a converted barn set in the woods above Tignabruaich, graces this months front cover. The raw materials remind me of a Tuscan farm building that you might see on an episode of Grand Designs.
A work of art in itself really. Her and her partner, John, did so much of the work themselves.
Lofty ceilings, stone walls and concrete floors make the perfect backdrop for their art collection.
Enjoying amazing views and a sense of space that would be hard to create anywhere other than Scotland’s West Coast.
Heather working in her spacious studio… Her exquisite, meticulous paintings in miniaturist style are amazing… Superb news for her is a commission for a museum exhibition, in Bristol in December, dedicated to feminist novelist, Angela Carter famed for her themes of magical realism.
